Went for lunch this past Saturday and everything I tasted was great. We started with some Pastrami Croquetas and White Fish dip, both were delish!! For lunch I had the Reuben and it also did not disappoint, totally worth the drive from Westchester, definitely coming back.

The Deli has opened under new management .... Kush hospitality has revamped the menu keeping the old classics and brought in some favorites from his other restaurants. Classics that you definitely must have include that pastrami and corned beef sandwich.... all fresh meats thickly sliced at the moment served on toasted rye with mustard. I had the corned beef and it was great but will ask for mustard on the side next time since I feel it had a little too much for my taste. You can find kush burgers, fritas, and chicken and waffles ... also the amazing key lime pie. If you order a hot dog from the kids menu it will be served table side from the cutest mini sabret hot dog cart! Also the place will have a soon to open cocktail bar adjacent to the restaurant .... la Cocina Coctelería! The decor was kept pretty much the same with some updates touches but if feels almost exactly the same. Staff is super! but food is a bit slow to come especially if you are a large group.

Great spot for breakfast my dad and I have been customers for years. They also cater deli style sandwiches wraps and lots of cold salads. The interior is very outdated so don't freak out!

Since, I was at headquarters, my co-workers and I were a little hungry, and it was lunch time. My co-worker suggested that we go eat some pastrami and Reubens. I asked where are you going to get that in Miami? I said to him isn't that Jewish? He said, "you nailed it". I told him I haven't had a good pastrami since Wolfie's on the beach closed years ago. He said Google Stephen's in Hialeah. I said I'm going to do better, I'm going to Yelp it (lol). Hold and behold there was a Stephen's in Hialeah. I was so amazed, didn't know that it there was a Jewish deli in Hialeah in total shock. We arrived and were quickly seated, I noticed how nostalgic the place looked. Wood paneling from the early 80's , one wall with painted bricks. The infamous jail picture of ol ' blue eyes himself, Frank Sinatra. We were given complimentary freshly made coleslaw and kosher dill pickles. Looking at the menu, I was leaning towards the pastrami sandwich, and it did look very tasty. But I wanted something not too heavy, since I didn't want to be too sleepy, I had 2.5 hours of interviewing. I leaned towards the turkey club. Our wait time was less than 15 minutes, especially since we got there during the lunch rush hour. I was amazed at the size of my turkey club sandwich, omg, it was huge. It was cut in four pieces, and a kosher pickle. I began tasting my sandwich, it was pieces of sliced turkey, not deli turkey, with center cut bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes. I requested some yellow mustard and mayo to add to my plate. My co-worker pastrami was looking very good too, he was nice to cut me off a corner of his sandwich as I asked him if he wanted a piece of mines. The pastrami was so good, and the waiter bragged to us on how it's made fresh daily. I will be back for that baby. Overall, the sandwich was good, only able to eat half and the rest went in a doggy bag. Coleslaw, was on point, kinda wished that the cold cuts sandwiches came with fries, but you have to order it separately. But I will return real soon to my new Jewish deli hook-up.

New York style Deli in the middle of Hialeah? Yeah, right.. Or so I thought when I first heard of this place. When you experience real fresh made Corned Beef or Pastrami it's hard to go back to that dry stuff they serve in most delis down here. Then I finally tried it, and much to my disbelief, it WAS the real deal. The only difference, other than it being in the last place you'd expect to find it, is they don't stack the meat sky high like some of the more famous NY Delis.. That's OK though, they don't charge sky high prices. My only complaint .. OK, two complaints, is service can be SLOW and they aren't open on weekends! I would've given this a 5 star review if it weren't for the service, but they do get a solid 4 stars for serving up a little bite of the Big Apple.

Re: Patrick W.'s review.. Thanks for nothing, guy. Hope your "anticipation" finally leads you to an actual visit. In the mean time, hand over that 'first to review' button, pal. Waitress Mary says this place has been open for more than 50 years, and it looks it. Lack of woo-hoo aesthetics equals cheap food, I guess. a.t. had a happy time here. When you go in you feel like you're not in Hialeah anymore. That's not a good or bad thing. Places like these are rare in this county, if they exist at all. I ate open-faced roast beef & mashed. It was a little plain, but it was probably supposed to be. Plate was loaded. Pro: Lots of food, lots of gravy. Good service. Uniqueness, per Hialeah. Con: Meatloaf only served on Tuesdays.
